Week two action kicks off with Friday night game staring two team who have on their week one games. First we'll look at the Argos. They had a week one victory against the Calgary Stampeders. They had a two score lead at the beginning of the 4th quarter, but gave it up to only come back with two late field goals to win the game. Normally this wouldn't be too impressive, just a little bit of late game heroics by a great kicker. This game was different though. Calgary just came off of a season where they had the best record in the league. For the Argos to come up and beat them in week one is impressive. Another things that was impressive was Cleo Lemon in the 4th quarter with little time left he made some great throws and kept his composer to set up Noel Prefontaine to make two clutch field goals. Of course Cory Boyd was had some great runs to help his quarterback including a 33 yard run that later got punched in for 6 points. The offense played great that game, but the real question was the defense. In the 4th quarter of the last game Toronto's defense let up back to back touchdowns to give up the lead. Luckily their offense stepped up or they would have lost that game. A big surprise was that Winnipeg beat Hamilton by that much. It wasn't just due to the Bombers playing a good game though it was also due to the Ti-Cats playing awful football. It's hard to win a game when your starting Quarterback gives up three interceptions. It was good pressure by Winnipeg's defense, but I see it more as an error by Kevin Glenn. Although it was a bit of a lucky win, the Blue Bombers still played good enough to win that game.

Although the Bombers won by more points last week, I still think Toronto's win was far more impressive. The Argos still don't have a great defense, it's clear they need some help there, but with such explosive player on offense, special teams, and some defensive players like Willie Pile the Argonauts look like a good team. Without a spread I would take the Argos to win here. They are the better team here and should win this game on the road.
