Rams vs. Bulldogs Final Four Betting Pick Tips and Predictions
Virginia Commonwealth Rams vs. Butler Bulldogs (-2.5)
The first of the two final four matchups faces off two of the most unlikely of foes by pitting an 11 seed against an 8 seed that was in the title game last year as a cinderalla, the Butler Bulldogs.

How they got here?
VCU had to play five games, as they were a part of the first ever "first four." Other than their OT thriller against Florida State, they have won every game in convincing fashion despite being outrebounded in every game following their first four clash with USC. Their amazing run includes 18 point wins against Georgetown and Purdue, and a 10 point win against Kansas where they led by as many as 18. Their record against the spread in the regular season is 13-20, but is 5-0 in the NCAA tourney as they've been an underdog in every game.
Whereas VCU walked through the field as an 11 seed, the Bulldogs had to scrap their way through the field. They won their four games by a combined 13 points. Their toughest came in a second round matchup versus number 1 seed Pitt. It was the only game in the tourney that they've been outrebounded. They were bailed out with a foul 90 feet away from the net on a rebound from a free throw that would have put Pitt in front. Instead, Howard absorbed the foul and calmly sunk down the first free throw to win the game.
The key for VCU to win this game will be their ability to continually knock down 3 pointers where they have shot at least 37.5% as a team in every tourney game this season, including shooting at least 46.5% from deep in 3 of their last 4 contests. They have hit a whopping 53 3's in the 5 games. Butler has held their opponents to 30.4 percent from 3 in the tourney, so this could be a tall task. The key for Butler will be to thoroughly win the rebounding battle, as their ability to scrap and fight for loose balls will be important for them to win this game.
My Pick: Keep an eye on Jamie Skeen of VCU, as he had a 26 and 10 board game against one of the best front courts in the country in Markieff and Marcus Morris of Kansas to get here. If he can have a performance close to that, I expect VCU to throttle Butler. Butler will most certainly scrap through, and I expect this game to be close due to Butlers rebounding edge.
Final Score; VCU 64 Butler 59
