The big news in the NFL this week was all about the Vikings who traded for Randy Moss and had Some (alleged) naughty pictures of Brett Favre start circulating the web. The Jets however are 3-1 and coming off of a routagainst Buffalo. Three of most surprising players in the league so far this season are on the Jets. Quarterback Mark Sanchez has 8 touchdowns with no interceptions, tight end Dustin Keller already has 5 touchdown receptions,and runningback LaDainian Tomlinson has 341 rushing yards and a 6.1 ypc average. That makes the Jets dangerous on both sides of the ball, Its not just their defense that can hurt you this year.
Like I said in the last paragraph the Jets have been lighting it up on offense so far this year and now even more help is on the way, Santonio Holmes the former superbowl MVP is coming back after his 4 game suspension forviolating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Holme's return to the Jets adds an entire new factor to the team as he should help open things up with his speed.
The Vikings have had a rough go on the offensive side of the ball so far this year. Adrian Peterson is still a machine, but Brett Favre hasn't been the same as last year. Has Jenn Sterger refusing his advances made him lose hismojo? Either way Brett now gets to play with future hall of fame wide receiver Randy Moss and that should definitely help them out, either by opening up some more running room for Adrian Peterson or by catching some touchdowns.
Defensively the Jets are one of the best teams in the league. Cornerback Darrelle Revis is probably the best in the league and the rest of the D can fulfill their roles too. The Jets do it all on defense, stop the run, stop the pass,rush the passer, and force turnovers. They are definitely one of the scariest teams to face.
Minnesotas defense is a pretty solid unit especially against the run. Their front 4 defensive lineman, led by Jared Allen and the Williams' at DT can shut down the run and also get some pressure on the where Minnesota is weak however is their pass defense, particularly in the secondary where they have no stars.
