Indianapolis @ New England (-4)
Simply put, this game has the makings of the best that the regular season has to offer. Personally, I thought that the Patriots were going to get run over last week against the Steelers, but the Patriots' Bill Bellichick had the perfect game plan by attacking the weakest part of the Steelers defense, which is in pass coverage.
These two power houses, although in different divisions, have played each other in each of the past 6 years. The Colts have won 4 of the past 5, including a 35-34 win at home last season after trailing by 13 with 2:30 remaining.
With Joseph Addai out, and the Patriots always lacking a good running back, we know that both quarterbacks will be throwing the ball a lot. The Colts will likely get back wide receiver Austin Collie this week after missing a game with a concussion. Jacob Tamme, another Colts pass catcher, has been more than just a replacement for All-pro Dallas Clark. He has posted a league high 24 catches over his past three games to go along with 245 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The Patriots had great success last weekend, but the Colts despite winning, didn't play like they normally do. Manning was held without a touchdown for the second time this season against a solid Bengals secondary. Luckily, they'll go against the 30th ranked pass defence.
My Pick: Colts (+4)
I got to go with Peyton Manning and the Colts. Anytime you have Manning taking more than a field goal, and going against a pass defence as bad as the Patriots you just have to take them.
