Falcons Rams Pick

Last week the Falcons played in the first Thursday night football game of the year. It was a highly unremarkable game until near the end where the Falcons almost choked the game away. The Rams last week took the 49ers to overtime where they ultimately took the loss.
Offensively the Falcons have been very solid this year, with Matt Ryan really having sort of a breakout season and Roddy White having the best year out of all receivers in the league. Their star runningback Michael Turner is having a down season but should break out this week.
The Rams offense is, to be honest pretty bad. Rookie first overall pick Sam Bradford has played pretty well for a rookie but coming up against a good team, such as Atlanta he will struggle. Runningback Steven Jackson is their only real threat on offense but should get bottled up this weekend.
Defensively the Falcons have been solid this season coming into this game at 8th in the league in points per game. Where the Falcons excel is rushing the passer with John Abraham leading the pass rush.
The Rams defense has defied all odds to this point in time and they are ranked 6th overall in points per game thus far in the season though that is with a very weak schedule. Former 2nd overall pick Chris Long has been playing especially well as of late.
My Take: The Falcons are a much better team than the Rams and should crush them even though they are bad on the road. Falcons by 10 at least.
