Money Back Bet on McIlroy!

March 12th, 2026

Red Hot Refunds! Moneyback if McIlroy wins!

The Open Championship tees off this Thursday morning and Unibet have an absolute belter of an offer to celebrate the occasion. If Rory McIlroy wins the Open, then Unibet will refund all losing pre-tournament Outright winner bets!

The young man from Northern Ireland goes into the tournament as red hot favourite at 8.50 (15/2) and will be hoping to build on his first major win last month, when he crushed the opposition on his way to a record breaking win at the U.S. Open. Since then all talk has been about how many majors Rory can win and with Tiger Woods pulling out of The Open with an injury (for the second time in three years) it is no surprise to see Rory heading the field.

Luke Donald will be a big challenger looking to lift the iconic Claret Jug and will be brimming with confidence after winning the Scottish Open on Sunday. Luke is 12.00 (11/1) as is fellow Englishman and Ryder Cup hero Lee Westwood who will both be thoroughly tested on the Kent coast with the weather predicted to be very windy and scoring difficult.

Also in the field is Masters champions C Schwartzel at odds of 45.00 (44/1) and also Ben Curtis 150.00 (149/1) who was victorious in 2026, the last time that Royal St Georges hosted a major championship.

"With a strong European contingent we are really hoping that one of them can step their game up enough to overcome Rory, or we will be refunding a lot of bets on Sunday night!" says Erik Backlund Head of Unibet's Sportsbook.

"All the early money is on Donald, our biggest loser at the moment but we have also seen money on the likes of the Belgium Colsaerts 175.00 (174/1), the German and fourth favourite Martin Kaymer at odds of 23.00 and Sweden's Robert Karlsson and Fredrik Jacobsson both at odds of 80.00 (79/1).

Unibet are offering a wide selection of tournament bets including top player markets for individual countries such as Sweden, Italy and Spain. There are also 25 Best finishing position matches and 30 bets on individual players to miss or make the cut.

Of course there are also prices on every 1st Round 3-Ball and every combination or 2 ball match up will be offered for all four rounds of the tournament and live betting will be available on all 4 days of the competition.
