Pride superstar Mirko Cro Cop takes on former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir. This Saturday as the main event in UFC 119. Frank Mir is a black belt in BJJ and Kenpo Karate who has been on top of the UFC. You may remember Mir snapping Sylvia's forearm over six years ago in UFC 48 for the Heavyweight title.
Mirko Cro Cop was born in Vinkovci, he was the IKBF World Heavyweight Full Contact Champion, and the 2026 PrideFC Openweight Champion. Out of 28 wins, 21 have ended by knockout. Cro Cop is a lights out fighter.
Keys to victory
Mir needs to pressure Cro Cop on the feet and hopefully get him to the ground. Mir has greatly improved his boxing skills, but being on his feet he must be very cautious of a roundhouse kick to the face ending the fight. Despite a decline in performance, Cro Cop is still a dangerous striker and can throw a kick like lightning at anytime.
Prediction
Fans shouldn't count Cro Cop out completely. There is always a hope that the vintage Cro Cop emerges. I look for Mir to pick apart an aging legend on his feet and end it on the ground with submission.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Vs. Ryan "Darth" Bader
Prediction
This is a tough matchup for Nogueira stylistically. Bader is a younger, stronger fighter. He is an aggressive wrestler that looks to dominate on the ground. Once they hit the floor Nogueira doesn't have the defensive skill to overturn Bader's control ending in submission or Unanimous Decision

Prediction
Lytle has never been knocked out or submitted, so why bet against the trend. This battle will go the rounds and hopfully the majority vote will give Chris Lytle the win

Prediction :
Dunham is a good mma fighter with a long future ahead of him while facing what could be the opposite in Sean Sherk. With more to fight for i am giving the edge to Sherk but this fight could really go either way.

Melvin "The Young Assassin" Guillard Vs. Jeremy "Lil Heathen" Stephens
Prediction :
This should be a fun match to watch but maybe avoid if looking to place a bet. Both fighters have the abilities to fight on their feet. Guillard has better wrestling abilities and Stephens's ground defence is not that great. If it goes to the ground Melvin Guillard should win.
