 The Sports betting world received great news this week with the NFL Players and Owners coming to an agreement ending the four and a half month lockout. Thankfully no real time has been lost of the 2026-12 NFL season. We will have a full training camp and play all 18 regular season games.
This is great news for sportsbooks and internet sports betting as the NFL accumulates for 25% of all sports betting around the world. America loves football but they also like to add some excitement and wager on a few games each week. I for one was ecstatic to see the agreement finally be made. I had a wager that we wouldn't miss any regular season time but I didn't think it would get solved this early and before training camp.
A look ahead to the NFL Season
There are still a few months to wait until we see the kick off of the NFL regular season in Green Bay as the Packers take on the rival New Orleans Saints. Week one betting odds are already out to make early wages. A few of my picks are on the Packers, Buccaneers and the Eagles.
While we wait for Thursday March 8th we can prepare for NFL fantasy. One of many people's favourite parts of the NFL season is the fantasy games. You will find Fantasy guides on our expert mock drafts and what players to look out for as sleepers and who will be a bust. Last season our top 100 player mock draft was very close to how the final stats broke down. We hope to repeat that accuracy this year. You don't just have to be a gambler to see the great upside to having an NFL season. The NFL increase business in every sector whether it be restaurants or electronic stores like Best Buy an NFL season is part of the nation's economics. We all know we don't need any other problems on the economic side of things.
Thank you to the NFL players and Owners for making this a painless lockout, something that cant be said the NBA who's players and owners haven't even sat down to talk as of yet…. The NFL always does things right and here is a thank you to the fans, from the players.
