Clayton Kershaw blew up this past week. Rick Porcellos having a bad year. That’s the risk with young pitchers, good one day terrible the next. Too much inconsistency. Young pitchers can deliver big dividends don’t get me wrong I’m not saying to avoid all young pitchers. Kershaw last year put up stats that a pitcher of any age would be proud of. Tim Lincecums second season he won the Cy Young. With any young pitcher you can get a gem one day and then have them
lay an egg the next. Young pitchers, start at your own discretion.

What is up with David Freese…is he for real? I want to pick him up, but it would require the dropping of Delmon Young…That would leave my 3 OF slots to be filled with Heyward, Crawford, Ludwick and Hawpe (on the DL)…do you think its worth it? Right now my 3B Slot is filled with David Wright/Ian Stewart and my Utility Slot has been dedicated to Jose Reyes (hoping he remembers that he likes stolen bases)
Well I do like David Freese I even went as far as putting him on my team. I think he’ll be a good roto player this year, he hits for average, hes got some power, and he drives in runs. He even has a stolen base so he could end up with a few more of those by the end of the year. Delmon Young is too good and too young to completely lose faith in. If i was you i would try to trade Ian Stewart and/or Brad Hawpe and hang on to Delmon because sooner or later he will blow up.
Now its time for my team updates.
My H2H team is currently 2-2 and as a write this i am down by 24 points with 2 batters left and both of my closers with a chance to pitch tonight. I should be able to pull this out of one of my guys can get a save tonight and my batters play well.
My Roto team is currently in first place with 71.5 points. A few of my pitchers had bad weeks and Jason Heyward got injured this week or else my lead would be larger.
Looking Ahead
John Buck Catcher of the Toronto Blue Jays looks to be a hot waiver wire pick up after having a 3 hr game 2 weeks ago and then a 2 hr game this week. This guy has some power and can contribute at the thin position of catcher.
C.J. Wilson Of the Texas Rangers should also be claimed in all leagues. This guy is off to one of the hottest starts in baseball and he has reliever eligibilty.
David Freese 3b STL Cardinals. I already talked about this guy above but i need to point out his competition this upcoming week. (Houston at home and Cincinnati on the road) If playing those teams doesn’t merit a start I don’t know what does.
