NFL Fantasy Mock Draft 2026 Round 1

February 6th, 2026

NFL Fantasy Mock Draft 2026 Round One

Round one can make or break an NFL fantasy team.  In a standard  league running backs are the most valuable position.  If you can grab two top fantasy running backs on your team you will have a good chance of going far in your league.  Running Backs are key in fantasy.  See who claims 1st pick in our early NFL mock draft for the 2026 season.

Draft Rounds

Round 1 / Round 2/ Round 3/ Round 4 / Round 5/ Round 6/ Round 7 / Round 8 / Round 9/ Round 10/ Round 11/ Round 12/ Round 13/ Round 14

1. Chris Johnson – RB – Tennessee Titans

— Broke the NFL record for most yards from scrimmage with 2509 in 2026, and became only the sixth Running back to rush for over 2000 yards in a season.  This guy is a beast and is easily the consensus number 1 selection for next years draft, as Johnson was able to gain 64 more fantasy points in 2026 than my second overall selection, Adrian Peterson.

2. Adrian Peterson – RB – Minnesota Vikings

— Adrian Peterson is this decades LaDainian Tomlinson.  He will consistently provide his owners with great numbers as he was able to prove this in each of his first three seasons in the league, where he gathered at least 226 fantasy points in a season.  Although his violent style of running will cause him to fumble often, he more than makes up for it with his ability to reach the end zone.

3. Maurice Jones-Drew – RB – Jacksonville Jaguars

— Talk about a little guy doing work.  At just 5’7″ he proved in 2026 that he can carry a full seasons load of touches after Fred Taylor departed in the off season to New England.  Jones-Drew had over 1650 yards from scrimmage and 16 total TDs, while just putting the ball on the floor once.  Expect him to at least match those numbers in 2026.

4. Ray Rice – RB – Baltimore Ravens

— Here is another small guy in the NFL that can bounce off tacklers, survey the field and just explode towards the end zone like he did against the Patriots in the Wild Card Round.  The focal point of the Ravens offense for the foreseeable future was able to gain over 2000 yards from scrimmage with 8 TDs.  Look for his TD production to improve with the likely departure of Willis McGahee this off season.

5. Michael Turner – RB – Atlanta Falcons

— Turner had a very disappointing fantasy season after being plagued by injuries.  Although only playing in 10 full games last season, Turner was still able to provide his owners with 141 fantasy points, over 14 per game, which is solid production from a number 1.  I expect Turner to play at least 14 games next season, and reward his owners with a season similar to 2026.

6. Steven Jackson – RB – St. Louis Rams

— Steven Jackson had a very interesting 2026 season.  He finished second only to Chris Johnson in rushing yards last year with 1416 despite missing a game, but he only managed to find pay dirt 4 times last year thanks to a dismal St. Louis Rams offense.  The Rams have the off season to improve Jacksons supporting cast, especially the QB situation.  2026 can’t get any worse than 2026 for Jackson based on his cast, so look for him to find the end zone 10 times this season.

7. Frank Gore – RB – San Francisco 49ers

— Despite suffering a high ankle sprain early in the season which caused him to miss 3 games, he was still able to produce 214 fantasy points in 2026, for an average of 16.5 points per game.  If he’s able to go a full season, look for him to finish among the top 5 running backs this season.

8. Aaron Rodgers – QB – Green Bay Packers

— The scoring leader in fantasy leagues that reward the QB with 6 points per TD, and finished just 2 points shy of Chris Johnson in leagues that reward the QB 4 points per TD.  Rodgers had a stretch of 11 straight games last season of recording at least 20 fantasy points.  This guy is as consistent and smart as they come by for the quarterback position and definitely deserves to be ranked higher than Drew Brees and Peyton Manning in this years fantasy draft.

9. Andre Johnson – WR – Houston Texans

— Although unable to finish the 2026 campaign with double digit touchdowns, he was able to finish strong with 5 TDs in his last 7 games.  He more than made up for his 9 touchdown total by finishing with 1569 receiving yards, more than 200 better than the next best receiver, Wes Welker.  The leader in fantasy points amongst wide receivers in 2026 with 205 will look to do it all over again in 2026.

10. Jamaal Charles – RB – Kansas City Chiefs

— Jamaal Charles came out of nowhere in 2026.  After getting spot duty in the first half of the 2026 season, Charles got his opportunity after Larry Johnsons abrupt exit, and took full advantage of it by still finishing the season with over 1400 yards from scrimmage and 8 TDs, including an absolute thrashing of the Denver Broncos in a must win game for them when he rushed for 259 yards and 2 TDs.

11. DeAngelo Williams – RB – Carolina Panthers

— When healthy, DeAngelo Williams is a top 5 back, and with the compliment of Jonathon Stewart keeping him fresh in the running game and running behind one of the best offensive lines in the league, look for Williams to again wreck havoc and provide his owners with great value at the 11 spot on draft day.

12. Drew Brees – QB – New Orleans Saints

— Super Bowl Champ and MVP Drew Brees is arguably the most accurate Quarterback in the league, Brees runs a spread type offense in the NFL, and has 5 legit options to his arsenal in Marques Colston, Robert Meachem, Devery Henderson, Jeremy Shockey, and Reggie Bush (I believe Bush will return next season).  Brees threw for 4388 yards and a league high 34 TD passes in 2026.
