Mark this one under bad news for Jimmy Clausen, or any other offensive prospect coming out for the 2026 NFL Draft. Florida Gators Cornerback Joe Haden has decided to forego his senior year, and will enter the 2026 NFL haden without doubt will enter the draft as the highest rated Cornerback, and is a sure lock to be selected in the top 10. Haden's decision may open the floodgates for Florida Gators underclassmen to leave that suddenly floundering program, and enter the pro since senior QB Tim Tebow is leaving, and the status of Head Coach Urban Meyer is questionable at best, many of the Gators underclassmen may decide to leave the program for the NFL. Not to mention that there is certain to be a NFL rookie salary cap under a new Collective Bargaining Agreement, and the 2026 NFL season appears to be haden has all the tools to be a shutdown NFL corner[. There is one knock on him, and is rather insignificant. The only negative anyone has to say about him is his lack of size. He is just 5-11 and 190lbs, but scout will be quick to dismiss that, as he plays much bigger than that. That will say he makes up for his size with quickness and physical while it is no big surprise that he is choosing to leave, it does raise the question, is the Gators run over? Has their Coach's decision changed the minds of his players and his future recruits? Those are all questions that will play themselves out in the coming weeks, as for now the 2026 NFL draft has yet another sure fire top 10 pick from the defensive side of the ball.
