Orlando Magic @ Boston Celtics – 3.5

May 28th, 2010

With soo many bigs banged up for the Celtics game 6 game, it appears as though they may even have a tougher time to stop the magic from forcing a game 7, and potentially being the first team in 94 tries to come all the way back from 3-0 to win the series.  Glen “Big Baby” Davis is suffering from concussion symptoms due to a Dwight Howard elbow to the face and Rasheed Wallace tweaked his back Wednesday night and had a tough time sitting through game film on Thursday.  Both will be game time decisions.  Marquis Daniels also suffered a concussion on Wednesday and appears to be out for game 6.

The Celtics were almost without Kendrick Perkins for game 6 who picked up 2 technicals in game 5, it gave him 7 total for the playoffs which results in an automatic 1 game suspension.  Luckily for the Celtics, one of those techs were nullified.

After being sick for much of the series, Rashard Lewis bounced back in game 5 posting 14 points and 7 rebounds in just 24 minutes.  For the Magic to beat Boston in game 6, Carter definitely has to show up as hes averaging just 5.5 points per game over his last two, surprisingly both of those games have been Magic wins, but I dont think they can win a third without a bit of production from Carter even with the emergence of JJ Redick, who is averaging 12 points per game in this series.

My Pick: Magic + 3.5

I feel that the Magic are just riding too much momentum heading into this one, and with Davis and Wallace gametime decisions for this game, the Celtics just dont have enough healthy bigs to stop Dwight Howard.  With Rashard Lewis returning to form, and Jameer Nelson playing like a star, I think the Magic will not only cover the spread, but also win the game and force a very exciting game 7 Sunday night.
