Dwight Howard provided a monster stat line in just 29 minutes of court time with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks, while also being able to avoid foul trouble for the first time this post season. After 22 fouls in just 4 games against the Bobcats in round 1, Howard had just 3 fouls in game 1.
For the Hawks to have any chance to win this game, they must get Howard in foul trouble early. If they can frustrate Howard like the Bobcats were able to do in game 1, the Hawks have a chance to keep it close and maybe even steal game 2
My Pick: Magic -9.5
It’s really hard to pick against the Magic here. The only way I see the Hawks covering this spread is if the Magic lose focus after their 43 point drubbing a couple nights ago. You can’t bet against the Magic tonight as they’re also 10-1 over their last 11 against the spread.
