Beginner tips for Texas Holdem Poker

Discipline is key to becoming a good poker player. If you know not to bet and bet, or not to tilt and tilt you are a bad poker player.  In this article we will go over some basic Hold em tips.

Types of opponents;

Tight-passive – these types of players like to bet or raise during the flop and take down the pot. They will  also bet small with a weak hand and bet large with a strong hand making it easy to read when to stick in the hand and when to fold.  These players are common, understanding your player will put you one step ahead in becoming a profitable player.

Loose-passive – these players are calling machines often calling with the second best hand depending on luck to win the pot.  These players can also drive you up the wall when they pull a horse shoe and win beating unbelievable odds but it happens in poker.  This type of playing is not recommended for NL Holdem.

Strong loose-aggressive – These players push their money around like its nothing, losing big but also buying peple out of pots and winning huge pots that usually boots their bankroll.  Some of the best NL holdem players use this style.

Tight-aggressive – Is one of the easiest winning strategies to playing poker, but when a player reads your playing style you could be in for some trouble.
